Neil BubkeConductor, Lakeshore Chorale
Neil Bubke is the fifth music director in the history of the Lakeshore Chorale. Prior to moving to Milwaukee in 2006, he received his bachelor's degree in music from the University of Northern Iowa and a master's degree in choral conducting from the University of Iowa, where he also earned his law degree. Neil has served as a church musician for twenty years. He is currently the director of Music and Fine Arts at the United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay, where he directs seven choirs and oversees four other ensembles. He also conducts pit orchestras for Dominican High School and the Whitefish Bay Players Community Theater. As a pianist, Neil accompanied the Milwaukee Choral Artists, a professional, all-paid women’s chorus directed by Dr. Sharon Hanson. He also served as a rehearsal pianist for the East Side Chamber Players, a group of young professional musicians from the Milwaukee area who perform concerts of chamber works throughout the Midwest. Neil enjoys accompanying student recitals at UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts as well. In his free time, Neil enjoys training for triathlons and playing with his cockapoo, Mae Mobley.
Eva StokesChamber Choir Conductor, Lakeshore Youth Chorale
Eva Stokes received her Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. After graduating, Stokes joined the music department at Kohler Middle & High School in Fall of 2016 where she directs all 6-12 curricular choral ensembles, the Kohler High School Madrigals Singers, Kohler Voce Contemporary Pop A Cappella Ensemble and the annual musicals. Her choirs have performed at the Wisconsin State Capitol (Madison, WI), The United Nations and St John The Divine Cathedral (New York, NY) and at Disney World (Orlando, FL). Stokes is an active member of the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association and has served on the board since 2019. In 2023 she became the WCDA All-State Honors Choir Project Chair. Stokes stays active as a choral musician, singing with the Lakeshore Chorale. In spring 2024, Stokes served as the Interim Conductor for the adult chorale. She is thrilled to now be a part of the LYC family as Chamber Choir Conductor.
Alexa EllisLyric & Jubilate Choir Conductor, Lakeshore Youth Chorale
Alexa Ellis earned her Bachelor of Science in Music Education (Instrumental and General Music) from UW-Platteville. After graduation, Ellis pursued a Long- Term Elementary Music Substitute Teaching position with Southwestern Wisconsin School District. During this time, she was working as an Intern with the Platteville Children’s Choir. Ellis currently works at Kohler Public Schools teaching JK-5 Elementary Music. Ellis is an active member of the Lakeshore Chorale adult choir and is excited to bring her love of music to the Lakeshore Youth Chorale as conductor of the Lyric/Jubilate Choir.

Duane ReamAccompanist, Lakeshore Chorale
Duane Ream is a native of Kansas, growing up on a farm south of Kansas City. He earned BA and MM degrees in church music from Bob Jones University in South Carolina, joined the music faculty for the 1984-85 school year, and continued teaching courses there in church music, applied piano, and music theory for the next 34 years. Ream has been collaborative pianist for countless recitals and choral concerts, and is in high demand as rehearsal pianist for opera and oratorio literature. He has been a pit musician on piano, keyboards, and harpsichord. In addition to teaching and accompanying, Ream is a published composer, arranger, and author.
Before his retirement, he served four years as chairman of the music department of a small Bible college in North Carolina where he redesigned the curriculum and taught the core academic courses. In 2023, in recognition of 45 years of church music work, he was presented with the Doctor of Ministry degree, honoris causa. In addition to sacred and classical music, Ream enjoys watching Sci Fi programs, reading Clive Cussler books, and prowling historical museums and cemeteries. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Max Becker moved to Sheboygan with the intention to bring music back to the forefront of his identity. Since moving, Max has joined and provided his skills to numerous organizations in the Sheboygan area in employed and volunteer capacities. He is currently singing with the Lakeshore Chorale and Immanuel Lutheran Church choir ensembles. Max is the full-time organist at Immanuel Lutheran Church where he also serves as director of the hand bell choir and provides guitar and piano for contemporary worship services. When he’s not making music or working full-time as a bartender at Trattoria Stefano in downtown Sheboygan, he enjoys cycling, reading, cooking, and spending time with his wife Kayla and cats Bruce, Paul, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Arthur.
